RICE FIELD & MT. HALCON VIEWMt. Halcon is the giant of Mindoro. This is one of the most difficult mountains to climb in the Philippines. The lush green rice fields surrounding the mountain are a beauty for the eye.
APLYA MUNTI BEACHUnting Aplaya, or Virgin Beach or Dulangan Beach, whatever the name is, locals will point you to the same place. Its a long stretch of beach divided into two by a huge rock formation right smack in the middle.
MANGYAN VILLAGEThe Mangyan tribe are the first inhabitants of Mindoro Island. Here you can see how they live in their nipa huts and how they prepare food. The Mangyan people are warm and welcoming.
THE VIEW POINT (PICTURE TAKING)
LANTUYANG HANGING BRIDGEFrom the village we will walk across the Lantuyang Bridge. It spans over a crystal clear shallow river. The bridge was built in 1999 and is made of wood and steel and used by the locals to cross the river.
Truly a magnificent piece of nature. On our way, we’ll be passing on a hilly zigzag road with beautiful views across the sea. Tamaraw Falls are around 150 meters high with cascades of differently shaped and sized waterfalls combining into a single basin.
Snorkeling at the Coral Garden is one of Puerto Galera's island activities. The area that comprise Coral Garden is only 8 feet deep, and has underwater views of corals and varieties of marine animals.
GIANT CLAM SHELL GARDEN
If giant clams can produce pearls, how big would you think the pearls could be? Snorkeling at the Giant Clams basin is one of Puerto Galera's island activities.
Puerto Galera island hopping also includes a visit to San Antonio Island where Long Beach is located.
HALIGI BEACHPuerto Galera island hopping also includes a visit to Buquete Island where Haligi Beach is located.
The snorkelling starts in shallow water (about 5m/17ft) on a beautiful reef, alive with hard and soft corals, hundreds of small tropical fish like anthias, damsels, butterflyfish and many more.
An optional route to take near Long Beach in San Antonio Island is to proceed via boat in an Underwater Cave located in the same island.
